Does anyone know if the Duke of Windsor had subsidiary titles or just the Dukedom? I can only find reference to the Dukedom.

Yes, I believe so, someone quoted the London Gazette entry from 1936 on another forum and it only mentions the Dukedom.

What consideration was given to him having an heir? Even if Mrs. Simpson could not have children, he might have had another wife. Perhaps it would not be discussed in public but surely there must have been behind-the-scenes talks?

Eh! Bigamy is illegal, even for British pretenders!

From being styled HRH,or from inheriting the peerage?
There had at this point been no life peerage creations other than the
Law Lords since the 17th century.

"Our Brother Edward having been born in the lineal succession to the Crown shall notwithstanding his said Declaration and the said Act be entitled to hold and enjoy for himself only the style title or attribute of Royal Highness so however that his wife and descendants if any shall not hold the said style title or attribute". IOW a hypothetical son would have been His Grace the Duke of Windsor.

His heir males.
Were there any financial considerations for a possible child? A non-HRH Duke of Windsor peeling potatoes at the local diner might have been awkward. A down-on-his luck duke might have posed a political problem as the senior male in the dynasty.

I believe Edward VIII was compensated for private property his father had
left him that was intended to pass with the Crown (e.g. he sold
Sandringham to his brother).
