Lord Alex Montagu?

Friday morning's edition of The Today Show (NBC) featured an interview with
a man who has been subpoenaed to testify in the Michael Jackson case. The
reporter addressed him as Lord Alex but identified him as the Duke of
Manchester. And then I read the following from the MSNBC site and am further
perplexed:

'A member of the British aristocracy who has been subpoenaed to testify for
the prosecution in the Michael Jackson child molestation case told NBC News'
Mike Taibbi that he has received threats telling him to stay away from the
trial.

'Lord Alex Montagu, who is listed in Burkes Peerage as Viscount Mandeville
Baron Montagu Alexander Charles David Drogo Montagu and as the Duke of
Manchester on his passport, spoke exclusively with NBC News, in violation of
Judge Rodney Melville's gag order, because he says he has received telephone
threats.'

'Lord Mandeville' looks to me like the correct name for this person, but
perhaps one of you can comment on it.

He inherited the Manchester title a few years ago.

The report is almost correct in terms of the name - he is Alexander Charles
David Drogo Montagu, 13th Duke of Manchester, born 11 December 1962.

His eldest son and heir is Alexander Michael Charles Drogo Montagu, styled
by courtesy as Viscount Mandeville, born 13 May 1993.

According to an article in The Telegraph, Jackson was introduced to the
Montagus at the memorial service for Diana, Princess of Wales, a distant
relation of the Duke's. Jackson subsequently developed a close friendship
with Lord Mandeville.

The Duke says he knows of no improper behaviour between Jackson and his son.

The Duke was raised in Australia, and lives in California with his American
wife and their two children.

Thanks, that clarifies a lot for me.
