Here is a Native American family's descent from Edward III:

Ludovic GRANT +1714, 8th of Freuchie, 1st of Grant

Supposedly grandfather of Ludovic Grant 1698-1755, married a
full-blood cherokee and is ancestor of about 50,000 people of
Cherokee Indian blood, including William Charles Rogers 1849-1917,
Principal Chief (=Emperor) of the Cherokee Nation 1903/1907, Thomas
Mitchell Buffington 1855-1938, Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation
1899/1903

One source says that the younger Ludovic was son of John Grant
1679-1747, son of Ludovic +1714. Stirnet, in Grant5, states this John
+1682sp, however, they have a son James 1679-1747, who doesn't have a
Ludovic amongst his sons, and the supposed mother, Kathrine Dick is
not mentioned.
Another source states that Ludovic Grant 1698-1755, was the second
Baronet Dalvey. Any additions/corrections welcome.
