Yet again Queen Elizabeth II has broken the record for largest
distribution of Maundy Money to the largest number of people,
increasing as it does with her record age for a British monarch...
93 men and 93 women,as Her Majesty is to turn 93 on Sunday,
received 93 pence each of the silver Maundy coins,
along with a five-pound Queen Victoria bicentennial and a
half-pound Sherlock Holmes commemorative.

The recipients are traditionally pensioners...of course in the
early years of the reign they were all quite a bit older than the
Queen but I wonder if any recipients are still older.

"the first Royal Maundy since 1210 where the oldest person present
was the monarch".

I think there is some fanciful filling in of the blanks.
There were many years in which the monarch was not present
and some early years where there was no record of the ceremony.
